    Hi
    I am having the following three problems;
    1.I have attached an image (to my email) and settings should make it the featured image, but this doesn’t happen and no images are shown anywhere.
    2. I get no Html coding in my post, even though the email has bold and underlines.
    3. Text is only posted if my preferred text type is ‘plain’.
    Other info;
    – I am using the Innovation theme.
    – I keep getting a winmail.dat file in the email, which I have put on my banned files list – the only way I can get rid of it.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Where they are shown is a theme issue. You can verify if there is a featured image by opening the post in the post editor and looking at the featured image area.

    > I get no Html coding in my post, even though the email has bold and underlines.

    This is controlled by the “preferred text type” setting. If it is set to plain you will not see formatting.

    >Text is only posted if my preferred text type is ‘plain’

    This implies that a html version of your email is not being sent.

    >I keep getting a winmail.dat file in the email

    This is being added by your email client (Outlook/Exchange).

    Please send a sample email to [email protected] and leave a note here when you have done so and I’ll take a look at your email.

    I sent an email to test@…

    I also included a screenshot;
    1. it does accept featured posts, per the post page and tested by adding manually.
    2. changed the Preferred text type to Html and it didn’t bring any text in.
    3. please see email sent to test@…

    Kind regards

    Thanks for sending the sample email.

    Your email only contains plain text plus 1 attachment.

    The winmail.dat attachment is proprietary to MS Outlook and Postie doesn’t understand the contents, which is where the image and styles are saved.

    You need to change the message format to HTML in MS Outlook. Depending on the version of MS Outlook you have this is done in different ways.
