Featured image for posts page not shown

  • If I edit the page, that is also selected as the posts page, then I can set a featured image. I would expect, that this featured image shoule be shown on the posts page just like the featured image on any other page. But the posts page does not show its featured image. The posts page just lists the posts and their featured images. How do I enable the featured image on the posts page? The website is not public yet, so I can not give a URL at this time, but the question is general and should apply to any default install of WordPress and Shoreditch.

  • Hi @micskidk, posts pages in general tend to ignore any customizations and display exactly as the posts page does in the demo.

    For this theme, instead of a featured image for the page, you’ll get a slideshow option with featured content.

    If you want to show posts on a page with a featured image, I’d recommend building a page in the block editor, adding a cover image and setting it up as you’d like, then adding a list posts block. I hope this helps!
