Featured image fails – new user

  • ? Six image, all .jpg’s.
    ? They all display correctly when inserted into the page.
    ? But only one displays correctly when set as the featured image in the 2011 theme.

    This one shows up cropped but properly oriented …

    These two show up but are rotated 90o …
    1.2MB/1944×2592
    1.1MB/2592×1944

    These do not show up at all …

    Q: Why do two of the six get rotated and another not?
    Q: Why do three not appear at all?
