    Hello, I have tried to add featured images to several quizzes, however, the images never appear. I am not sure why. I click on create quiz, choose the template, and then in the featured image setting, I select the image but it never gets displayed.

    Hi @hbk747 ,

    I hope this email finds you well.

    First, let me thank you for your continued efforts in creating quizzes using the QSM plugin. Your feedback is invaluable, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused regarding the featured images section.

    Regarding your query about adding featured images to quizzes, I wanted to share a few steps to make this process easier:

    1. Navigate to the specific quiz you are working on.
    2. Click on Quiz Settings located in the top section, just after the View Quiz button.
    3. In the Quiz Settings menu, you will find an option to add a featured image. You can refer to the screenshot for a visual guide: https://app.screencast.com/Tw9MtrmovU7Mv.

    Please note that the display of featured images depends on how your WordPress theme handles them on the front end. To ensure proper functionality, I recommend using the latest version of the QSM plugin.

    If the issue persists, please share the quiz URL, and we will take the necessary actions to resolve it promptly.

    Thank you for your time and cooperation. Feel free to reach out if you have further questions or require additional assistance.

    Best regards,
    Dhanush

    Hello,

    Thanks for the great explanation. I did as you said, however when I add the featured image, the same image appears twice. You can check this out here on this quiz: https://www.paradigmshift.com.pk/quizzes/hello-2/

    When I remove the image, no image appears.

    Also another question, for my quizzes I notice that there are comment boxes below every question. How do I get rid of that for all questions?

    Edit: Another question. I only intent logged in users to be able to particvipate in quizzes. The username password page is very unaesthetic. Is there any way to change this page/make it prettier. Is there also a way to add a register/sign up button here? Otherwise people might get confused and leave.

    Warm regards,

    Hi @hbk747 ,

    Thank you for your patience and for trying the suggested steps. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.

    I understand that you’re still encountering an issue where the images appear twice. We have noted this and will escalate it to our development team for further investigation. We will provide an update as soon as we have more information.

    Regarding the comment box visible for all questions, you can click on a single question and set the field to “none” to address this, as illustrated in the screenshot https://snipboard.io/x1OQBK.jpg.
    Please let me know if you continue to face any issues with this section.

    I appreciate your proactive approach in ensuring that users can navigate the quiz without confusion. Currently, there is no registration or sign-in functionality to restrict quiz access from unauthorized users. However, you might want to explore plugins that add registration features. These could help you implement sign-ups and access control effectively.

    Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the repeated images issue. Rest assured, this is being prioritized, and we’ll keep you informed of progress.

    Thank you for your time, cooperation, and understanding.

    Best regards,
    Dhanush

    @dhanush22 Also regarding removing the comment box, I usually upload questions a via a csv so I have to disable comments for each question which is super tedious. Is there any way to make the default output for the comment box to be “none”

    Thanks for this! I am sorry but yes I have another query. The quizzes I upload and/or preview do not display the title in a correct manner:

    https://www.paradigmshift.com.pk/mcqs-quiz-archive/Pak-study-mcqs-1/

    Also this quiz is displaying on google if I search for it but it displays very oddly: Before the title, the timer shows up which is very weird. Why is this happening? You can see this in the 2nd search result here: https://ibb.co/547qQb9

    As you can see the title is not aligned properly. I hope there is a solution.

    Hi @hbk747 ,

    We have identified the issue regarding the featured image appearing twice on your page. The first instance is displayed via the theme’s settings, while the second instance is rendered by the QSM plugin.

    To resolve this, you may choose one of the following options:

    1. Disable the quiz page banner section in your theme’s settings.
    2.Use the following CSS code to hide the first image:

    .single-qsm_quiz .entryhead_single {
    display: none;
    }

    We hope this solution resolves the issue effectively. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

    Thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Hi @hbk747 ,

    I hope this email finds you well.

    Regarding the title display issue observed on both your website and Google search results, we recommend using an SEO plugin such as Yoast SEO. This tool allows you to customize titles, descriptions, and images for better search engine visibility.

    You can also configure these settings by visiting the quiz settings page. For your reference, I’ve included screenshots illustrating the process:

    Additionally, you can define custom URL slugs for your quizzes to ensure they appear as expected in search results.

    I hope this addresses your concerns. If you require further assistance with QSM or any additional support, please feel free to reach out.

    Thank you for your time and cooperation.

    hello. With regards to the featured image, I will try the css code and let you know. As far as the title goes, I already use Yoast and I did set the title, meta desc etc using yoast from the quiz settings. I am not sure why the numbers were being included because I did not add them via yoast. I will try again and let you know.

    @dhanush22 Hello,

    1. Thanks for your response. The featured image issue has been resolved thanks to the css code that you sent over. However the title issue is still present. Yes I already use yoast and I did change the seo title and meta desc etc via the quiz settings which leads to the yoast page. However for some reason even though I did not add any timer or numbers in the yoast seo title, if you search for the quiz on google, you can see the quiz title with the timer which is very odd. You can see the screenshot https://ibb.co/547qQb9 (the title with the timer)
    2. Also another issue is that the title on any quiz I post on my website is non-aligned like this https://ibb.co/rpr29pr
    3. Third I changed the default quiz url slug to “mcqs-quiz-archive”. However when I go to any quiz and click on the breadcrumb of the quiz, it goes to the old url which is a 404. So for example if you go to this quiz in the image here https://ibb.co/Pj6y91y and click on Quizzes and Surveys, it goes to the old quiz archive page. I already added the quiz pages to my cache plugins exclusion list so I am not sure why this issue is also there.
    4. Yet another issue is that I recently uploaded a csv file with 15 questions and only 12 were uploaded. I am not sure why the other 3 were not. When I uploaded the csv and viewed the quiz, there were 2 comment boxes enabled at the end as well which is odd because in the “comments” column of the csv I had “1” in front of all the question rows. I can send you the csv file and you can check for yourself https://www.filemail.com/d/ksaysugkieiacgk (the download will be available for 7 days).

    So in summary there are still so many issues I am facing with QSM. I really hope you guys can resolve these issues. I have been trying to make things work for around a month now.

    Warm regards,

    Hi @hbk747 ,

    I hope you’re doing well. Thank you for your prompt response.

    I’m glad to hear that the issue with the featured images has been resolved using the provided CSS code.

    Regarding the title issue, I appreciate that you’re already using Yoast and have shared the relevant information along with a screenshot. I will discuss this matter with our development team, focusing on the title visibility section. We will test the implementation you’ve added, specifically the timer part and the Yoast section, and verify it from our end.

    For importing the CSV file, I recommend trying the sample CSV file available on our site to upload quiz questions. Please use the same method for the “comment” column. Additionally, I will import the questions from the file you’ve shared into my demo environment to identify the problem and provide an update. If required, we will share an alternative CSV file to ensure everything works as expected.

    Thank you for your cooperation in addressing these issues. I truly appreciate your efforts and apologize for any delays. Rest assured, we are committed to resolving everything to your satisfaction as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your time and understanding.

    Best regards,
    Dhanush
