Hi – I’ve created a staging site to explore upgrading from PHP 7.4 to 8.0 on Colormag Pro. There was a problem with breadcrumbs appearing even though they are not switched on – but adding “additional CSS code” removes them.

However, all the featured images disappear from single posts on PHP 8.0. Revert back to PHP 7.4 and they appear again. I switched all the plugins off and it has no effect – so it is to do with the theme.

I went through the regular Colormag Pro support channels – someone looked into the problem and could not find a solution. So I’m writing here to get other people’s experience.

Has anyone else upgraded to PHP 8.0 on Colormag Pro? If you have – are you experiencing the same problem with featured images on single posts not appearing?

Also – if the ColorMag support staff has any other ideas how this can be resolved- it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Marko

  • Hey @mmaslakovic ,

    Thank you for writing in,

While testing it on our local setup, we did not find the issue you have mentioned. In PHP 8, the featured image is loading properly. Could you please contact your hosting provider once to check if the PHP configuration for the updated version is okay or not? They might be able to help you out with this.

    Regards,
    ThemeGrill Support Team
