    Hi,
    I would like to disable the cropping that the featured image has because it is cutting off a certain photo that I need to see entirely in the preview.

    The image is not cropped… It takes the width of a user’s browser window and scales the height of the image accordingly. Then it centers the image horizontally. This approach makes sure that the image always fits – no matter which window-size. There is no way to make a responsive background image always showing everything on every device or screen size.
