Has anyone had a conflict with the Featured Image in admin?

When the plugin is enabled and I’m editing a post, there is no button to click to add a Featured Image under the Featured Image in the sidebar. When the plugin is disabled, it is there and works no problem.

    Hi @jeremyvaught,

This is the first I’ve heard of a conflict with the featured image.

I just checked on a couple of test sites I have, and I am not seeing any issue with populating a featured image.

Make sure that the Screen options have not been updated to hide the featured image metabox if you are using the classic editor (pre-version 5.x of WordPress)

What version of WordPress itself are you running on the site?

When you load an editor page with Better Click to Tweet active, are there any errors in the Javascript developer’s console? To view the Developer’s console in Google Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + J(Windows) or Cmd + Opt + J(Mac) and reload the page, and let me know if there are any errors there.

I’m happy to troubleshoot, but I am not currently able to replicate anything like what you are talking about.

Thanks for reaching out! We’ll get it sorted out!

    Thanks @benmeredithgmailcom

I indeed checked all the things you mentioned, and I rechecked them after your message just to be sure.

Console shows no issues. We are running the latest WP and plugin.

Our current theme is a big hairy monster of a theme since it used to run a user CMS as well. Tons of functions that everyone is afraid to touch.

Point is we are phasing that out. I’m sure it’s what it causing the issue. So in the mean time it makes sense simply to disable Better Click to Tweet when we need to update the featured image.

    TL;DR It’s not you, it’s me. ??

Super appreciate the response and willingness to help troubleshoot. I’ll save you this time.

    Cheers!

If it’s a theme that is available for download somewhere, I’m happy to spin up a test site to see if I can break (and then unbreak) it.

Otherwise, I look forward to you coming back once you’ve de-hairy-monstered the site.

Let me know if I can help. Thanks!

    Nah, it’s a custom theme that has a short life-span. ??

We are still using the plugin, we just have to deactivate it for a few seconds when we set a new featured image and then reactivate it. That’s all. Pretty painless for a workaround since it won’t be but only a few months.
