Featured Image Block, Showing Thumbnail instead of Large Image

  • During development in Localhost, it was fine and showing Large Featured Image in Single post.

    Where as when we bring the Theme on Live site, suddenly it starts showing Thumbnail everywhere in place of Large Featured Image.

    For now, We’ve applied the filter to show Large image if Thumbnail is returned.

    This is not an ideal solution, may be developer can add an option in the Featured Image block to select the size of the image as that option is available in Image Block.

    Provide a solution if someone else has faced the same problem.

    Hi @xfinitysoft – that definitely sounds quite odd. The fact that it changed when you migrated the site live suggests to me that it is something to do with the environment. What differences are there between your localhost, and your live hosting environment?

    I did the migration manually, Manually installed the Theme and Copy the templates manually. Everything is done manually.

    No plugin is used for migration, But still could not find the problem.

    By trouble shooting the code, I was able to see that Thumbnail is returning no matter, what setting we apply.

    Is something stored in the DB before installing the Theme?

    Well when we go back to previous theme, Featured Image works fine.

    This is something wrong with the theme.

    I’m not sure if I understood. Do you mean these are also different themes that you’re using?

    Could you get one example on how it shows on each case with a screenshot? Also, I would love to have a screenshot of the way the same post was added from the editor (when you try to edit the page), if you could share this as well.
