Featured Image appears with video in post

    This is my first website. I stopped posting new articles for several months and when I went back to it, I ran into the same issue I had before and I can’t remember what I did to fix it the last time.

    I use this plugin so that the featured image can be pulled from the YouTube video. The problem is that the Featured Image appears on top of the video in the post itself. Also, a link to the YouTube video appears in the post grid.

    I disabled the plugin, reposted the video, disabled the featured image in the post in the theme (Astra) settings (that worked but I lost the featured images in all of the other posts), etc. I also made sure to check the same settings as with the other video posts to no avail.

    Can someone point me in the right direction?

    To be certain I’m understanding the request correctly, when someone views https://primalumea.com/never-give-up-part-2/ directly, you’re wanting just the video to show, not the thumbnail AND video?

    If that’s the case, then it’s likely a theme setting or edit needing made to handle. Our plugin doesn’t dictate displays of featured images, just the fetching and setting.

    You understood the request correctly.

    What I find strange is that the theme settings are configured for the featured image to show in the structure of each post. If I untick featured image from the structure, the featured image goes away in the post that you saw but then I lose the featured image in all of the other posts as well, and I need to have it in posts where I don’t just have a video.

    If you or anybody else has any idea, I’d love to hear them.

    I just found the solution: on the right hand side of the screen editor, there’s an A symbol for Astra Settings, and there, you can disable the Featured Image but just for that particular post. I checked the other video posts and that was ticked. I had completely forgotten about those Astra settings.

    Thank you for helping me eliminate the plugin as a potential source of the problem.

    I was badly searching for solution for this same issue in my site too.I am a beginner and have the same problem.Please help me.

    I am using automatic featured image from video plugin so the thumbnail from video is taken and shows in my home page featured posts.

    But Every single post with video is showing the featured image above the video.I have chcked even for options to disable but couldnt find any.

    Using blaze themes(new cast) Theme.

    Please help!
