Featured image and metadata doesnt display on facebook share

  • Hello,

    I have a problem with the sharing option on facebook with my wordpress.
    I am using velenti theme, yoast SEO and jetpack, and when i try the share on facebook option, the featured image of the article and the title doesnt appear.

    Instead i have a generic image (the logo of my wordpress)
    When I go to the facebook Open Graph Object Debugger, it says:
    -The ‘og:type’ property is required, but not present.
    -The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
    -fb:app_id hasn’t been included in the meta tags. Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog. Otherwise, the default app id( XXX ) will be assigned.

    Even if the option about Add Open Graph meta data is ticked on Yoast SEo, it doesnt change anything.

    Anyone would have an idea to help?? Thank you so much!

  • You can use the facebook sharing eaily by passing the information manually by this way you need to add you app_id in this and content you want to share

    Other way

    you can user best plugin for this and it will work automatically after adding your app_id and secret key in setting

    Well i use Yoast and I enter my app_id as well as the other settings but still stuck in the problem where my featured image doesnt show :/
