    Hi,

Featured image ALT tag not showing up with generate press theme. I have added ALT text for all images and it does shows in image gallery and other locations of site (home page images, post images, etc) except featured image.

    Hi there,

How did you add the featured image to the post? From the source, it doesn’t look like it was added from the editor.

    Hi,

Please check the attached image as it was attached with WP Editor with alt text!

    Hi there,

the link you shared the HTML for the first image on the page is:

    <img class="single-featured-image" src="https://mentionned.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/featured-80.jpg">

And that is not the HTML that the theme outputs for the the Featured Image.

Are you using any plugins or functions to add that image ?

    Hi,

I’m not using any plugin to add Feature image. As shown in the picture only WP editor!

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Found the error and it’s with a custom snippet code added.

    Thank you.

This has nothing to do with how you set the Featured Image in the editor.

The link you shared above is NOT showing the featured image that GeneratePress outputs.

It is showing HTML that does not belong to the theme for the first image.
So some plugin or custom code is doing that. But it’s not the theme

Whereas this post is showing the themes Featured image and it has an ALT attribute:

Glad to hear you found the issue
