Featured Image

  • Hey, Featured Images are not displayed anymore on the top of the Edit Posts page . They are displayed on the Blog but not in the Edit Page. Thanks for helping.

  • Can you share a screenshot of where the Featured images are missing from your Edit Posts page?

    There’s no way to help you, since you don’t give any clues of versions or which editor you use, or theme or plugin or what you changed.
    The featured image is set and retrieved by WordPress. Any other handling of it is done by the theme and sometimes with plugins.

    Joy (@joyously) Howdy, I use the version 5.4.2 of WordPress, the Classic Editor and Blogzilla Theme (version 1.0.8). But i had this problem before changing the Theme (usig the default WordPress Theme). Thanks.

    Featured images were never shown on the top of the editor (classic or block), unless the theme or plugin put them there, and there is no default theme that does that.
    Do you perhaps mean the Customizer instead?
    Regardless, the handling of the featured image is not a WordPress responsibility, so you should ask at the theme’s support forum.
    If it is simply a case of the image not showing somewhere and nothing changed, there are actually a lot of forum topics like that. It can be because of misconfigured SSL (mixed content), ad blockers, caching, lazy loading miscalculation.

    Ok, I am sorry because I am pretty new in all of this but I am sure that when I started to use WordPress Featured Images were showed in the top of the editor. And I do mean editor not Customizer.
    I will ask at the theme’s support forum. Thanks a lot for your explanation.
