    Hello,

    At the moment I’m trying to help COC with their website. It’s in progress and we will get a new template soon. But in the mean time rearranged everything and I activated a IFTTT for more posts. It copy’s COC posts from facebook to wordpress. But there is one problem it doesn’t set a featured image. I can’t find the options to set that automatic. I have to reupload the image to wordpress and then I can set it to featured image. The post has an image, the image is already online.
    How can I set a featured image that has been added with a link?

    Do you see the “Featured image” widget in the post section?

    @a2hostingrj Yes I see that option, it asks me to upload the image. I wanna have it so I don’t have to reupload the image again if its already in de the post.

    I understand. There are two ways to do that:

    Adding a custom function manually

    I tried the plugin but it says ‘This plugin is NOT for images from external sources.’

    You either have to upload/set a feature image in the widget per post, or create a custom function so that you set the first image URL in post as the featured image.
