featured image

  • Hello and a big well done for this amazing plugin. It is remarkable.
    I just donated 10 usd – this is a minimum – want each to do the same.
    Also very well done for your dedicated support.
    I want to know how and if the feature image created and assigned as poster to the uploaded video can ALSO be made the featured image of the post (meaning automatically). The purpose and reason is that then fb open graph will post it and twitter card too.

    There is a known issue kind of with wp core and frontend posting which the very theme p2 from wordpress theme has had.
    And I believe the bug is there in using your plugin on the front end.
    You can test going to the home page after login and find the posting from on the top right.
    Try there and then the image is featured on the media attachement post not the post itself.
    (I have finished the test of upload and posting video and yes the feature image is there in the post.)
    The bug is surely on front posting.

    Having now completed a new frontend video upload posting after the successful backend posting positively conclude that the reason why the feature image is linked to the media page and not the post page is because it is a frontend posting. It just happened before my eyes the video links to the attachment page instead of the asked for post page and so does the feature image. The short code plays the video in the post with the poster thumbnail.
    So that is that.
