Featured Content Slider Problem

I’m using the theme ‘Marijuana’ and I can’t figure out why the featured posts slider won’t display anything.

I have several posts on my website in the category I specified and I’ve tried both using and not featured images for each, as well as changing my home page to both ‘static’ and ‘latest posts.’

I’ve also tried disabling it and installing a plugin to do the same function.

Any ideas as to how I might go about fixing this?
I can post the slider.php file if that information will help diagnose the problem, as well as answer any other questions.
