Featured Content Slider not showing

The Featured Content Slider isn’t showing on my pages and I’m not sure what else to try. I have checked all of the following:
– categories of 4 blog posts all set to “Featured posts”
– all 4 blog posts have titles + photos (set to “Image”)
– ticked checkbox in Appearance>Customize>Theme Options to “Use first image post as the featured image”
– ticked in Appearance>Customize>FeaturedContentSlider to show slider and set to “Featured Posts” categories.

I am now at a loss because it’s still not showing up!
