    Hi there, the easiest way to do this would be to go to Posts > Tags and create a tag you will never use. Then go to Customize > Featured Content and enter that tag and the featured slider will disappear. It will still show in the Preview in the Customizer after you save the new tag name, but not when you go to your site.

    You can also just remove the tag from the Customizer completely and no slider will appear.
