Hi, on a development site I see the option to set the tag slug for featured content but switching the site to production, that option is gone…

Differences between the two environments:
- Dev uses PHP v 5.6 while prod uses 7.0
- Dev is a WP?single site while prod is a site in a WP multisite environment.
What’s going wrong here? Is it one of these differences (I don’t see anything related in the error.log) or is there something else going wrong…

Tested Dyad 2 and it seems to suffer the same issue. Or I am, at least…

Oh, hang on. After connecting Jetpack to WordPress.com, the option suddenly appeared… Why does it need Jetpack for that anyway?

Featured Content is a Jetpack feature, in keeping with the best practice of functionality going in plugins and not themes.

You shouldn’t need a WordPress.com connection to use Featured Content; it should work when Jetpack is in development mode.

Hi Kathryn thanks for clearing that up ?? … it does not mention Jetpack in the documentation, maybe that could confuse WPORG users?

Hi Kathryn,

no luck here with getting the “Featured Content” tab in the Customizer.

Wordpress is 4.9.1
Jetpack is connected (5.6.1)

Theme is Opti 1.0.1

@martinvirtel – The first troubleshooting step is usually to deactivate all plugins temporarily except for Jetpack to see if there might be a conflict.

That said, this forum is for Dyad, not Opti, which appears to be a paid theme. Did you purchase Opti from Pro Theme Design?
