Featured content not displayed on local site

  • Hello,

    I am the owner of silence-action.com and I want to move on with a cool responsive theme, and Untitled seems cool for me.

    I’d like to edit it, first on a local version of the website to make a clean switch but I’m having trouble to activate the featured content option so I could have the slider on my homepage.

    I’ve installed jetpack, and set it up on dev debug mode (I have to do that right since I’m working on a localhost ?) ; I’ve also added the add_theme_support in my functions.php file but I still cannot see the featured content option displayed.

    Maybe I’m missing something or doing something wrong… I need your help !

    Hello,

    After testing more stuff, it seems that the problem is somewhere else : If I active a theme like Twenty fourteen locally, I have access to the option “featured content” in that theme.

    So it seems that I have trouble to include “featured content” for Untitled theme, but still, I don’t know what I got wrong.

    I’ve also added the add_theme_support in my functions.php file

    Since Untitled is already set up to support Jetpack featured content out of the box, you shouldn’t need to add this.

    Could you revert back to a fresh copy of Untitled with no changes and let me now how it goes?

    Make a copy of the theme folder in case you’ve made any other changes. (If you have made changes directly in the theme, I’d suggest you set up a child theme, so your tweaks won’t be overwritten when updating the theme. Here are some guides in case you haven’t made one before:

    Usually Jetpack recognizes that you’re running locally based on a URL like https://localhost/mysite so this step isn’t often needed, but it doesn’t hurt.

    Hello,

    I’ve tried to get back from the start with a fresh install of Untitled : same problem.

    As my knowledges in the web area are getting very low it’s a friend of mine who will finally handle the theme change and I don’t know If he’ll work with Untitled.
