Featured Content Gallery (FCG) and Thesis Theme

  • Hi,
    I have recently a copy of Thesis Theme and I am having a problem trying to get Featured Content Gallery (FCG) work on the theme. I have not been able to get a reply from the folks at Thesis theme regarding the issue. The FCG plugin works fine on any other WordPress theme so I am positive its not a plugin issue but a theme issue. I have looked at Featurific but it has its name splattered on the plugin. Does anyone have any other suggestions to replace these 2 plugins? You can view my blog at https://online-vault.com

  • It looks like the problem is the image. Could it be you haven’t put the custom field “thumbnail” to your latest posts?

    Yeah, followed the instructions as metioned and it works on different themes, just not Thesis. For some reason, FCG cant pull the data from database when using Thesis. any other plug ins out there that might work with Thesis? Seems Thesis has a problem with a lot of plugins.

    I’m having the same issue. FCG *works* in that is is getting the post title and text, but it’s not able to load the images for some reason. You just get the loading bar animation the whole time. You can actually scroll through the entries so half of it is working.

    By the way, the other plug-in like this one, Dynamic Content Gallery (I think)… it has the same issue with Thesis.

    I got both of them working in other themes but not Thesis.

    Here is how to get FCG 3.2.0 working with Thesis 1.5.1 and WordPress 2.8.1
