Featured Content as Products 2

my previous request was closed down as i suggested i would pay for help (aimed at the designer). did not realize that was a problem, thinking it might be helpful to expedite. so i’ll try again without.

i have now purchased the Pro Version. previously i was wondering if there was a way on the free version to show product previews on the homepage instead of previews to blog posts. on the Pro version there is an option for featured articles, but i still can’t select product pages.

perhaps there is a way with widgets. is there an option or simple way to show some product previews on the homepage?
