Featured Category Page

Need to set a Category Page as featured page? Realized that it is not possible?
Stay calm – it’s sooo easy to fix! Just use the plugin “Speedy Page Redirect“, that will add a redirect field in your posts and pages. Nothing more, no advanced settings, no admin page, no problems!

Fixit instructions for Dummies (like me):

– Create a page with any name, set your featured image, and set the page as featured page
– Install and activate the plugin
– Go to the Category that you want to use as a featured Category page
– Copy the FULL URL of your category page from your browser address field
– Go to the featured page that you created above, and paste the URL into the redirect field that you will find has been added by the plugin. Leave the redirect settings at “Permanent”. Update the page.
