Featured category?

i was wondering if someone would be able to help me create a dedicated link for a single featured category. i installed the “My Category Order” Mod, but am not having luck getting the categories in the proper order. my main concern though was getting a particular category to the topof the list.

upon further consideration, ive decided that id rather have a single, featured link just for this category outside of the full category listing.

can someone help me out with this?
