I have been trying to figure out how to feature content and make it look like the preview image of monograph. Whenever I place the “featured” tag in the tags of a post it places the featured image twice in the featured section. This makes it look very repetitive and cluttered. I was wondering if there was any easy way to fix this problem that I am just not thinking of.

    Hello,

It is important to note that a post can be marked with multiple tags.
And in Appearance > Customize you can specify different featured tags for different sections of the homepage.
The demo uses 3 tags for 3 sections: “featured”, “popular” and “exclusive”.

    I’m having the same problem.

It isn’t readily apparent where such changes are made, nor is your support document very thorough.

*Featured Pictures do not extend through the title text.
*Featured Posts do not align in columns, instead are only in one column.
*There is no way to customize the Exclusive bar.

It is really not that complicated.
As I said before, simply mark your posts with tags and then use these tags to feature the posts in the 3 separate locations of the homepage.

Featured Pictures & Columns: without a link to your website it is impossible to guess what the issue is.

How exactly are you looking to customize the Exclusive bar? What is the theme supposed to include for it?

But which tag do we need to put the posts on the second line of featured thumbnails (two horizontal pics)? Tag “featured” works only for the first line of three vertical thumbnails. Up the fourth post with the tag “featured” there are the repeat of the thumbnails (on the second line are the same posts, as on the first one).

    Thanks!

It doesn’t matter how you tag your posts, just remember that there are 3 locations in which you can use up to 3 different tags.

Use “featured-2”, “promoted”, whatever, it really doesn’t matter. Call it any way you want to.
