Feature suggestion: Set featured image via markup in the post

Great plugin.
I would like to suggest being able to set a featured image via a tag within the post itself. This would be along the lines of what is offered by another plugin called markup-to-featured-image which has not been updated in a long time.
This is particularly helpful for people who write their posts in an external editor, on their computer for instance. The feature image would then be pulled in based on the required markup in the text of the post. In the above plugin example it provides three options:

<!–featured-image:/path/to/image/.jpg–>I would suggest the path to the featured image support both a local server path, and a full URL path (https://…). That way the image can be pulled in very easily.
