I used this excellent plugin recently to add a conditional message to a WooCommerce cart based on a specific product category (e.g., if product matching the category “shirts” is in the cart, display the custom message block). Works great!

Today I encountered a similar situation but the request was to add a custom message for visitors adding an eBook to their cart. In this situation, most books are available in both Soft Cover and eBook format so each book is categorized as both ‘eBook’ and ‘Soft Cover’. Product attributes and variations are used to distinguish eBooks from Soft Cover books. So the custom message appears even if the customer selects a Soft Cover. It would be awesome if there were an additional condition that allowed me to specify a product variation. In other words, the logic would be, if product matching the category “ebook” and attribute “efile” is in the cart, display the custom message. Not sure how doable this is – but it would be a nice addition to this awesome plugin.
