Feature Suggestion: A Solution for Formatting Issues & this plugin
-
Would like to suggest that you consider modifying your plugin to load the Bootstrap stylesheet AHEAD of all other stylesheets so that 98% of the issues folks are reporting with Bootstrap interfering with their theme’s will likely go way.. (BTW that’s exactly what the WordPress Bootstrap CSS plugin does)
I love this plugin, but like many others who’ve reported issues, I too found that Content Views bumped heads with my site’s theme. I used the option in this plugin’s settings to not load Bootstrap and loaded Bootstrap by installing this plugin: WordPress Bootstrap CSS. The WordPress Bootstrap CSS plugin solved my issues with the Bootstrap stylesheet from this plugin “taking over” my theme’s stylesheet
WordPress Bootstrap CSS is a plugin that allows you to implement Bootstrap with ANY theme or theme framework. This because the WordPress Bootstrap CSS plugin forces Bootstrap’s stylesheet to load before ANYTHING else so that your theme’s stylesheet will load AFTER Bootstrap. This makes your theme’s stylesheet the controlling stylesheet. Using the WordPress Bootstrap CSS plugin with Content View should eliminate most of the formatting issues you see reported here REPEATEDLY.
This is why I would suggest that the author of Content Views modifying this plugin so that it too loaded Bootstrap FIRST ahead of other stylesheets. Mos of the formatting problems often reported here would go away..
