• Hey guys I just started testing out your plugin.
I like the simplicity and clean interface.
I have a few requests for you. More to come ??
Double redirect option to anonymize the referral source.
Actual link cloaking option to hide the destination site url from visitors
Ability to pass UTM parameters onto the destination url
A simple way to add google analytics click tracking (although this can probably be done through the custom code section)

Ok I guess thats all for now…

The plugin seems great so far for simply managing affiliate links

    Thanks for making it…

I look forward to seeing the updates.

Happy to hear you like the plugin!
Thank you for your feedback, it’s very much appreciated

    Just some quick notes:
    – Double redirect is on our todo list

    – What do you mean by actual link cloaking exactly? Like using an iFrame to display the destination?

    – Passing on UTM parameters sounds like a good idea, added it to our list as well

    – For GA click tracking we recommend Google Analytics by Yoast (recently renamed, don’t remember the new one) as mentioned in our FAQ

It’s now Google Analytics by MonsterInsights ??

    Thanks guys!

Glad to hear you are working on some of that stuff already.

When I said actual link cloaking I meant doing something (an iframe could work) that would forward my link to the destination url and mask that destination url in my visitors browser with my “pretty link” so that they don’t see the actual destination url.

Thanks for the recommend on the Analytics plugin but I’m trying to keep my plugins down to a minimum and it’s not that difficult to install Analytics code with most themes. I use google tag manager to instal it. And I know there are ways to push click events into analytics through tag manager but I just figured it could be easier to for most people (myself included) if the link plugin allowed for some sort of event trigger to fire over to analytics if the code is already installed.

I’m pretty sure that ThirstyAffilites does this with their Google Click Tracking add on

Just something to consider adding that could be useful to users.

    Anyways thanks for the reply.

I look forward to seeing this develop.

And please do add the ability to forward utm parameters

This is vital in tracking profitable affilate campaigns

    Thanks again…

Thanks for the clarifications. There are a few other priorities right now but there are definitely updates for Easy Affiliate Links coming up. We plan on releasing a Premium version of the plugin as well, later this year.
