    Hi,
I run a busy subscription service, and currently importing all the historical orders into mailchimp –
the issue is that we dont really want to segment who gets our newsletter or special offers ie: active subscriptions vs cancelled

It would be great if it was possible to have that data also syncronise – is there a current way I coulddo this?

  • Hey @tcltd,

Thanks for the post. To help out, could you please get back to us with a bit of additional information?

    – What specific data are you wanting to sync that is not syncing currently? It sounds like you may be saying that none of your order data or product is syncing – am I understanding that correctly? A detailed description of what your desired workflow is and how things are currently set up on your end will help us best respond to this. It may also help us to know how you have subscribed vs. canceled folks identified in WooCommerce currently.

That being said, if you have questions about how data is later handled in MailChimp, specifically, such as segmenting questions etc the MailChimp support team will be your best bet moving forward. They can be reached following the steps outlined here, if needed: https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/mailchimp-support-options#Contact-Support

Thanks! We look forward to hearing back and helping out as much as we can.

    Hi Pearl,

Our order data is syncing that is not a problem.
However woocommerce subscriptions (for subscriptions products) creates an additional post which is a subscription which can have several different statuses the most common:
    active, on-hold, pending cancellation, cancelled

I wish to be able to sync this data so that I can have an automatic segment that keeps track and thus segment our newsletter or promos based on their status in our store.
With it updating if someone goes from active to cancelled, then they would move into different segments.

    Thanks

    Hey @tcltd,

Thanks so much for clarifying – that makes perfect sense. I’ll go ahead and pass this along internally for our developers to take a look. Please feel free to reach back out here at any time with MailChimp for WooCommerce related questions and feedback.

Thanks again – we hope you have an excellent weekend ahead of yourself!

    Pearl
