    Hi,

So… when you go to edit an element, there is an “Advanced” tab and, below, there is a section for “Responsive”. There, you can choose to “Hide on Desktop, Tablet, and/or Mobile”.

I’d like to add a fourth option: Visible to Admin Only

With that as an option, you could drop a Text Editor element at the bottom of a page and leave a note for yourself and/or other admins. This could contain information about how to update the page (“Don’t forget to do this or that”) or anything else that needs to be remembered.

Additionally (this is HUGE for me), you could simply leave an element on the page that you know you will need again in the future, rather than deleting it and then later trying to rebuild it from memory.

Let me give you a specific example. I manage a site I built for free for a non-profit that supports a local public elementary school. Every year, they run various fundraising campaigns at different times of the year.

Each time a new campaign begins, I change their main page to draw attention to it. Typically, I put up a little one paragraph description, some images, and a call to action button.

Now these are the same campaigns, over and over. If I had the option to change visibility to Admin ONLY, I could simply leave those elements on the page, rather than deleting them.

Anyway… this is something I’ve been thinking about for years. I now have a dozen or so Elementor sites (some Pro, some not) that I manage. Invariably, I find myself in need of this on every last one!

    ALTERNATIVES:
I have tried switching off visibility on all, but that makes the element disappear completely.

Currently, I use “Save as Template” but that only works for a single section/element. Often what I need to save is multiple sections. Also, for that to work, I have to remember that I created a template, where I put it, what I named it, etc.

That is messy, and painful. But if I could leave a note for myself that wouldn’t be publicly visible… ??

What has proved more effective to me is simply duplicating a page, leaving it marked as a draft. That way I can come back, find past versions of a page, and take what I need. But that, too, is painful and messy.

Anyway, thanks for your time and consideration!

    Cheers,
    Fez
