Feature request to the rating system

  • As already mentioned, I will use the program for competitions our Photo group(s). Therefore the rating system should allow rating only within one period per album.

    What is the process:
    1. photographers make an upload to an album. The display & control via the album widget of only their own photos.

    2. after the upload period is over, the album is published for rating.

    3. the group then has 7 days to rate.

    4. now comes my request:
    a) the rating of the photos in the album should not be possible after that, but as before, the ratings can be changed in this phase.

    b) nice tio have: The photos are numbered consecutively after the upload, the old name is hidden but not overwritten. So that one in the evaluation (I make I an export from the database) can assign the names again.
    In the moment no problem, I do this manually. But I have just a request about a greater competition with much more photos.

    Look forward to a response on this.

    Yes, that fits. The albums belong together and can be managed that way.
    And the comment function should also work like this.

    On the album admin page set only on the parent album: Tree upload limit: to a positive value. The input field has an explanatory title (hover).

    You will have to set the overruling value to enable.disable the comment feature on each contest album individually.

    The comment display policy is configurable in Table IV-E21: Contest comment visibility

    Works as requested, very nice. I tested it on your dev-page. Only the progress bar during upload is gone. Later I will install the new version.

    Pls do NOT install this version, OR, if you did already, make sure Table I-A12 Area max size is NOT empty !!! (make it 0 (zero) if you do not use this feature)

    Thanks for the info. I have installed the update.

    I tested again the comment function in the contest.

    The comments are all to read, so also the comments of the other raters.

    I have made the following settings.
    Table IV-E21: ‘Commenter’ “ONLY”.

    Album Admin:
    Display photo names: no
    Display photo descriptions: no
    Display rating: yes
    Display comments: yes

    Did I oversee something?
