I had requested that users be able to just hit “Enter” to send a new message, and was told it would happen on the next update of the plugin, but the update came out and this feature does not exist.

It is incredibly frustrating for my users to use shift+enter to send a message. This is not standard for anything we use. Facebook chat, most messaging systems, Enter sends the message. Shift+Enter moves to the next line in the message. People keep getting them all mixed up in this chat because it goes against normal conventions.

    Hi,

Yes, it is frustrating indeed. I will definitely add this option to my next update.

    Thank you

I’m sorry…this feature seems to only be a partial fix:

    Multiline Messages
Permits multiline messages. Submit button has to be enabled in order to send a message. Shift+ENTER key combination can be used to send the message.

Multiline messaging was already available before. I want to KEEP this feature, but user Shift+ENTER to go to a new line (which is standard in other apps and chat systems), NOT to send the message. Looking for ENTER to send the message. Which with this update works only when multiline is turned off

I will provide such feature (for multiline messages option) in future release.

    Thanks.

This will be released in Wise Chat 2.4.

    Thanks
