Feature request: staging site profiles

I’d like to propose a feature.

We have different use cases for creating staging sites. E.g., testing a plugin or theme update, testing custom code, play with the layout.

These scenarios are handled by different team members. They normally need different things on the staging site, e.g., no other users, not all plugins, or tables.

It would be great if we could have some kind of “staging site profile” that one can choose from when creating a staging site. E.g., one would be “theme test”, which would then not copy any information from our store or omit certain plugins.

If this is not possible in the UI, maybe you could have a single hook one can use to manipulate all options instead of having to use a different hook for different settings.
