Feature Request: Renew feed

  • Background
    I display videos from multiple YouTube channels and playlists in my security news webpage.

    Problem
    On occasion a video will appear in a playlist that is later removed, or the privacy settings of the video are changed. This leads to the data in the YotuWP cache not matching what is published on YouTube.

    A current example that affects my webpage today is the latest video from ThreatWire, a popular IT security news show.

    Currently on my website the latest video has the title “Private video” with a black thumbnail.

    Requested feature
    Each time that YotuWP requests a YoutTube feed, it validates that the data in the feed still matches the cache. If it differs, then it would update the cache, either by removing videos that no longer exist, or by updating titles and thumbnails.
