  • Hey,

thanks for reaching out! To be honest, we think that adding the related posts below the content (sidebar,..) is the optimal way to show related posts. Besides, you can regulate/modify the position via the “<?php zemanta_related_posts()?>” code. Would you be so kind and explain in detail what exactly are you trying to achieve?

    Looking forward to your reply,
    Petra

I use hashtags # on my site and I think it would be good to be able to inject related content at a hashtag spot. I can only do that with a regular short code. You said I can modify the position, how so?

    Hey,

thanks for getting back to me – for example, if you want to move the position below the comments or some other installed plugin (social media buttons,…) but all these changes depend on which WP theme you are using. For some, well to be honest for the majority custom themes this can’t be done but for the standards themes usually there are no complications. You can do that (usually) by going to “Appearance”-> “Editor” and in the files such as content.php, index.php,…you insert the code in the right place and that’s it.

Take care and enjoy the weekend,
    Petra

?Would you be so kind and explain in detail what exactly are you trying to achieve??
    Hello,
I have about 10 wordpress websites with 30 plugins on each websites…different themes. As I am not a web developer I just don’t change any php code. When you don’t know what you are doing it just leads to bugs that shut down your website. At every plugin / theme update there are risks and this is not good.

So I am looking for a shortcode so I can display on the bottom at the right order. Here is my current order taht I don’t control.
    – Post source (I often refer to study and this is included into the post content)
    – Sharing icons
    – Author box with newsletter included

I don’t control this order…it depends on the plugin I use. From now on I would edit that manually with shortcodes…so I can have
    – Sharing icons
    – Related post + product of the day (on the right)
    – Author box with newsletter included
    – Source
