Feature request: Paste as text in HTML Area

    Hi,

    first of all thanks a lot for this wonderful form builder.

    Today I build very complex form. After finshing I began testing and processing stopped after submitting the form. After completely rebuilding the form and lots of headache, I found the problem.

    I added some html areas and pasted text from word there. In the background I copied lot’s of MS-css which broke the form.

    I would really love to get a function in the html area to paste as text or better ever paste as text.

    I think this is confusing because the native wordpress editor handles this very good.

  • Hey Daniel, I usually right click and paste as text that way. Maybe that will work for you.

    thanks for the hint. What brwoser(addon) do you use? In Firefox latest I can’t see this functionality.

    Hi Daniel,
    I use Chrome and do not require an addon. However, I did try to edit an html field on one of my forms just now using Firefox. Indeed, it does not offer paste as text as an option with a right-click. What a surprise! I thought that was pretty standard. I did a quick search and found a Firefox add-on, however, I cannot recommend one way or another because I have not tried their solution.

    Good luck. Pasting formatted text can definitely cause problems with forms.
