Hey, I have a feature request. I was wondering if is it possible to disable updates separately. For instance, you have the option to “Disable All Updates ” which disables the core, theme, plugin updates, and auto-updates, and also disables notices and emails. Would it be possible instead to have the updates options disabled separately instead of all together?

I would like to disable my plugin updates but not the theme or emails, thanks let me know.

@scarlywebs noted for now. I usually just turn off Disable All Updates if I want to check if there are any updates, perform the necessary updates, and once done, turn it on again. I can see the benefits of being able to turm off updates separately though.

Hey @qriouslad thanks for considering it. And i would do what you say with that option but if the site goes down for my client or something important happens i need those emails to come in for him and me, if it disables everything can’t find out.

@scarlywebs you shouldn’t be using update notification email to monitor if a site goes down. Use a dedicated service for that.

Hey @qriouslad just want to mention i do have my own server and other services to check my website performances but still like the options for extra security i might not notice.

@markdenis I understand the request and will consider making the settings more fine-grained in the future. For now, please simply turn off “Disable All Updates” when you need to check for updates, and turn it back on once done. Alternatively, you can always use a separate plugin which you probably know already does this.
