    Use case:
User would like to overlay specific embed providers only, e.g. those who suck up a lot of data.

    Problem:
User can’t choose which oembed providers should get an overlay since the plugin overlays all of them.

    Suggestion:
Add an option in the plugin settings to overlay registered and enabled oembed providers only (and ignore the other supported ones).

    Hi sankari,

if you go to Settings > Embed Privacy > Manage embeds you have a checkbox on the very end to disable the particular embed provider. If you checked this the embed should be loading directly without overlay.

    Best regards,
    Matthias

    Thank you, Matthias.

The suggested option would give site admins the choice between a default opt-in and a default opt-out. The opt-out is for those who prefer to overlay just a few embed providers (e.g. Facebook and YouTube) without the need to register and disable all the others. It would be helpful for sites with a great variety of embed providers in particular.

While I get your idea, I think it’s too much niche to be part of this plugin directly. And usually you’ve enable/disable embed providers once, so there isn’t really much time to save.
