Feature Request – Menu by Role

    I have been using Admin Menu Editor plugin for a decade. Its great but messy and bloated. I’d love to have the ability to show/hide menu items based on the user role (inc custom roles), another great feature is 3rd level menus which enables me to put a lot of plugins in the ‘Settings’ menu and keep the menu tidy and clean.

    @lukeburrell Thank you for the suggestion. If both features were to be implemented in ASE, it will likely be in a Pro / paid version. Would you be interested?

    I would be intrested in a Pro / paid version as long as there is a lifetime paid option available

    @lcwilson18 thanks for expressing your interest in a Pro/paid version. I’m somewhat hesitant to offer a lifetime license for an ASE Pro version because of the sustainability aspect, especially since ASE is a complex product (codewise) backed by a one-man dev team (me, at least for the near future).

    Between these two, which would you prefer?

    1. Yearly subscription at an ‘affordable’ price, so you can be sure you’ll have support as long as your subscription is active.
    2. Lifetime license (and updates) with limited support period (e.g. maximum 2 years of support). Additional support can be purchased separately, or on an “as needed basis”.

    You could offer both, but I would prefer a lifetime license, I would only purchase a product if it only has a lifetime license option.
