Feature Request: Make Purchase Order field required

My companies administration team is telling me that orders that don’t have PO numbers but are supposed to be paid by invoice is causing them a massive headache when talking with customers about payment who always ask “What is your PO number”.
As a result, I would like an option to make PO number be a required field. I have read through the code and I think that the addition to make this work is quite minimal: https://gist.github.com/robertmassaioli/765db01077808246fb4e50bcd2656ec6
You could obviously add in an new WP_Option to let users control wether or not they want this change to be on or not, this would let you release this change off by default and let users opt in.
What is the chance that this change could be integrated in instead of me needing to maintain a fork of this plugin? It seems like it would only be an hours worth of work and very little effort to support on your end and of massive win to our business.
