I have a private Strava account; I’m uninterested in the social features of the site. Thanks to your plugin and the API, I’m still able to share select activities on my blog, which I appreciate.

When my blog’s readers click on my activity, they are sent to the original activity on strava.com, which they can’t view due to my privacy settings.

For that reason, I’d appreciate if the block had a toggle that enabled or disabled this hyperlink.

    Thanks for the great plugin!

Thanks @kgagne – this should be easy to implement, thank you for the suggestion.

Is a Strava subscription required to do have a set up like this, or is it simply managed through privacy settings? This sounds like an interesting use case for using Strava’s tech on the back-end, but your own site for publishing. Very cool.

I’ll update you here after the next release.

Thanks for considering this request! I’ve never paid for a Strava subscription, so it must be managed through the privacy settings. ??

Hey @kgagne – I just updated version 2.3.2 – can you check it out? I added a global option in Settings -> Strava to disable link output on all activities (embeds in posts, widgets, etc.). Let me know if you have any issues or want to conditionally turn it on/off.

Awesome! Thank you for adding this feature.

I originally envisioned this as a per-block setting… but after reading your update, I thought about it and couldn’t conceive of an occasion where I’d want to link some activities and not others, given that my entire profile is private. So the global setting works for me! ??

    Thanks again!
