    Hi,

Last time I put forward the latest N articles randomly. Thank you for your adoption. But I don’t think it’s flexible enough. It’s flawed.
A new idea came to mind today. Perhaps it can be used in conjunction with other parameters. That is:

High-rate recent posts, low-rate old posts.

    /redirect_to=Random&high-rate-recent=80%&other-search-parm

In this way, there is no need to place too many “random buttons” in the limited layout. More new articles can be brought to the attention of visitors.

What do you mean by “It’s flawed”? I hope it is working as expected.

A random function with a bias towards recent posts is certainly possible. It could be done with a cut-off threshold, as you mentioned, or with a function that smoothly raises the probability of the recent posts.

I’ll look into it when I have more time.

    /?redirect_to=random&count=10&bias=80

    It has been launched immediately.
    That’s exactly what I want.

Friends who haven’t noticed yet can try. It should be worth your five-star praise.
