The plugin now states that (when using an child-theme) you should put the files in the child-theme.

Wich is fine, but when using multiple “standard” flexible layouts like 2 or 3 columns I would like to set these render files in the parent-theme and overrule this (if needed) in the child theme.

Just like how parent / child themes work just with your render files ??

    Hello,

Thanks for the suggestion! I agree with you! I just pushed a new pre-release version on GitHub, and it includes your feature request (and more): https://github.com/acf-extended/ACF-Extended

Field: Flexible Content – Render Template/Style/Script path now supports parent/child theme. If a file is found in the child theme, it will be included.

Otherwise it will be checked against the parent theme path (Feature Request: @r3dridl3)

It works for Template, Script & Style files. Also compatible with existing hooks.

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.
