Feature request – external image url for category images

I installed some themes and none showed me the Category’s image outside the administrator settings.

Do your theme do that?

Thanks for answering….Well, I hope so but I will get back to you on that. I’m in the process of installing a file hosting script (Yetishare – https://yetishare.com/) to host all my images and pdf’s. Will continue tomorrow. It’s 2am here in Norway ??

Before releasing the new version of the plugin, I would like to test with your theme also.

I’m testing with Divi 2.6. Woocommerce category images is working fine. But I have switched strategy. Instead of using a shared File Hosting where multiple wp sites could get the images from using your plugin, I’m now using a main WP multisite install with shared library plugin. Anyways, nothings decided yet so I’m still considering your script ??

Why limit it to product categories? Why not make it a custom option just like we do for CPTs, but for taxonomies? I would love to be able to use it with my custom taxonomy.

It’s a good suggestion. I will verify if it’s possible. Please inform another taxonomy that I could use to test.

Well I don’t have anything specific, but let’s say in my case, i have a CPT named ‘Articles’ in that CPT, I have a custom taxonomy named Categories, but since I want it to be unique to the CPT, its underlying taxonomy name is ‘article_categories’. They work exactly like categories, but specific to my CPT. Make sense?

However, I can’t release a new version without tests. So maybe you can try to install some plugins that work with taxonomy and indicate some for me.
