Hi, thanks for a great plugin! I’m looking into doing some customization — mostly colors and such, no structural changes — but I’m finding the GUI editor difficult to work in, even in HTML mode.

The plugin appears to load the template-1.php file on first load and save it into the database. Once this happens, edits to the actual template file are never seen and all further modifications must be done via the GUI editor.

As a developer, I’d love to be able to edit my template in TextMate and save it in version control along with my WP theme it goes with. Have you considered adding support for loading the template from a file in the theme directory as needed? This would allow us to keep the template code with the rest of our code, make changes using our own preferred editor, and load it up only when email is being sent.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kenn,

I’m starting to work on a new and more ambitious version that will provide template choosing/adding/editing.
I’m still thinking on how things could be handled but I want to keep it as simple as possible so the average WordPress user (!= developper) can do some little changes easily. I’ll see if I can also add a more “developper” way to add templates.

    Sounds good, thanks.
