Hi,

I’d like to see an option that to duplicate menu items (e.g. similar to products with Woo Commerce).

Reason: a few of my clients have a lunch and diner menu. The lunch menu contains several items they also sell for diner but for a lower price.

They don’t want the items to show on separate menu’s with their own price, and not the same item on each menu with the two different prices below each other.

? The easiest way would be to duplicate the item, add it to a different section and give it a different price.
? The ideal way would be if you could specify multiple prices for the same item (as is already possible) but have an option to indicate that the first price is for the lunch menu and the second is for the diner menu, and show the price depending on the menu the item is attached to.

Hello @jpnl,

Seeing as the menu items are a custom post type, you could try using a plugin like Duplicate Post to duplicate each post/item.

We’ll also note it down as a feature request and discuss the possibility of implementing something like this directly in the plugin in a future update.

Thanks, that’s what I though after writing this request and I used the plugin you suggested.

The best feature for the restaurant menu plugin would be to be have a single menu item, and be able to set a price depending on the menu in which the item is being used. Or better yet, depending on the category because the category is directly attached to the item.

Hi @djamelk thanks,but I used the other plugin mentioned by the author, that plugin has 3 mln installs and was updated 4 weeks ago, while your suggestion only has 1000 installs and was last updated 2 years ago.

I still think this should be an option in the restaurant menu plugin itself though.
