• Hi, this is just a feature request.

We receive hundreds of emails daily from various websites we support. When a plugin fails to update, the Wordfence Notice email includes a quick link to the plugins library. We can one click our way to access and update the plugin (after login).

However, when the email sent is a notice email of “[Wordfence Alert] Problems found on https://www.domain.com” then the link to the scan results is not an HTML link, only pure text. So we have to highlight the text and then copy/paste into a browser. Not a huge deal, but takes longer than clicking.

Ex: Subject: [Wordfence Alert] Problems found on https://www.domain.com

See the details of these scan results on your site at: https://www.domain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=WordfenceScan

(Note in the email this is NOT a clickable link)

    Medium Severity Problems:

    * The Plugin “Wordfence Security” needs an upgrade (7.11.2 -> 7.11.3).

It would be awesome of the above link is actually turned into an HTML link like it does automatically here (hah). I know this is possible, as later on in the same email are other HTML links. Its just the critical one is not a direct link. So the template should just be updated to surround the Wordfence scan with an <a href=””> </a> tags.

Note that the forum system auto made the above link into a html link. But in the email itself it is NOT a link.

Hi @peteboyd, thanks for your suggestion.

Some emails the plugin sends are HTML, although ones that are plain text may have been made this way deliberately at a moment in time. Messages with a high number of links or other vulnerability information as HTML could have inadvertently triggered a high number of spam filters in the past, leading to this decision.

We’re always happy to look into the feasibility of changing or adding features based on customer feedback so I’ve linked this topic to the team for further discussion internally. Unfortunately I can’t provide progress reports or potential release schedules here on the forums.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.

Thanks Peter. Note that this specific email is an HTML email. If possible, a single link to WP plugins would be appreciated and speed up updates.
