• Hello! Nice theme, the best free one i have found so far. Can you add the functionality to choose from all available Google Fonts instead of just a few? That would give the users much more flexiblity.

As an extension of this request, it would be nice to let the user choose font colors and sizes for individual elements.

    hope for your feedback!

sorry but i know that. and it’s never the same as if it’s included in the theme because you can only assign fonts to different css selectors or elements, not the entire site.

As this is very much plugin territory, the theme would not be allowed to include all Google fonts. That would be contrary to the theme review guidelines.

every premium theme does that, and alot of free themes too. i dont see any problems with that. sorry but who are you? i dont think you know very much themes.

i dont see any problems with that.

All themes hosted on www.remarpro.com must comply with a set of guidelines. Those guidelines incorporate a strict embargo against themes wandering into plugin territory.

    sorry but who are you?

i dont think you know very much themes.

After creating 50+ themes over 10 years, I think I know a fair bit, thanks.

Okay i see where this is going. First we have to make clear which target audience this theme has. If people are installing it from the www.remarpro.com theme section, you would be right. but there is also a download link on the authors website. honestly, i am not interested in some restricting guidelines. i want the theme to be as flexible as it should be. and discussing this with an external doesn’t help. i will contact the author. if you are the moderator, please close this topic.

This has nothing to do with the target audience. It’s about whether the theme can be hosted on www.remarpro.com. If it tried to replicate plugin functionality, it will be suspended from the Theme Repository here. So what you are in effect asking for is that the theme’s developer creates two versions of the theme – which is a pretty big ask given that the support workload for these two free themes would then be doubled.

i am not interested in some restricting guidelines

I am afraid that your interest in the guidelines is immaterial. They apply to all themes hosted on www.remarpro.com – whether you agree with the guidelines or not.

If you wish to see this functionality in the theme, why not fork it yourself? Or create a child theme which loads all 638 Google font families?

i found this theme not on www.remarpro.com but on the authors website. at the moment the version on www.remarpro.com is the lite-version of the theme, as stated by the author himself (https://alxmedia.se/2013/12/one-month-24-000-downloads-and-3-700-hugs-later-hueman/). so there are two versions of it. the author also states that users should use THIS forum for any theme support. this is what i am doing. of course i did not anticipate you popping up and defending the www.remarpro.com theme guidelines.

to make it clear, my feature request aims at the full theme at version 2.1.5 (available on the authors website here: https://alxmedia.se/themes/hueman/ ) and NOT on the lite-version hosted on www.remarpro.com (version 1.4.1).

    thank you.

In that case, please contact the theme’s author directly. The www.remarpro.com support forums are meant for the core application, themes and plugins that are distributed on www.remarpro.com. We do not support themes downloaded from elsewhere.

Note: The version of Hueman available on www.remarpro.com is a “lite” version, and does not include sharing buttons, tracking code field, basic shortcodes and some other things as it is seen as “plugin territory”.
