Feature request: Add post type and taxonomy archives to ACF relationship fields

  • Would it be possible to add post type archive, taxonomy archive pages to ACF’s relationship fields? Or all “_option” pages for that matter?

    I’d like to create bidirectional fields between post type pages and post type archive.

    I’m not sure to understand what you’re asking.

    Post Type: Project – Single
    – Field: Post Type Archive Selection
    – Options:
    * Post Archive
    * Page Archive
    * Project Archive

    Post Type: Project – Archive
    – Field: Post Type Selection
    – Options:
    * Post
    * Page
    * Project

    If I select “Page” in the first field, then the “Post Type Selection” on the “Page Archive” will display “Project”?

    Maybe you can make a mockup/screenshot about what you would like to achieve?

    BTW: Concerning the “Post Type Archive” Location, I’ll most likely rename it in the next update (0.8). It will be renamed to “Post Type List” location.

    I’ll add a new feature called: “Post Type Archive”. This feature will add a dedicated fake “Option Page” for every Post Type of your choice. The Page will be displayed under the Post Type Menu as “Archive”.

    This way you will be able to separate: List / Single / Archive in the administration and dedicate a full page for the archive ??
