Feature request: ability to tag chunk of posts (category, selected, whole site)

Use case:
- Need to propose two or more wide-scale changes to portion of site (graphics, post content, etc.).
- Have two teams to try different ideas.
- Need to demo unique paths in just by selecting tag/version.
Desired:
- Tag current state of site.
- Create branches for each group.
- Be able to demo different versions by selecting tag/branch.
This would be most useful if the granularity was scalable from the existing implementation of single post to category, categories, mixture of two or whole site.
